Who is Miyoung?

Personally

I was born as a granddaughter of an alcoholic and gambler, resulting in my mother's illiteracy. Helping my mother to get her education was my first mission as a helper. From an early age, supporting people was my greatest gratification, which also led me to seek my profession as a psychotherapist.

Professionally

Starting my study in English Literature, I enjoyed teaching English, but something greater was beating my heart so I packed and moved to the U.S.A to get my education in Counseling Psychology specialized in Marriage and Family Therapy. During my internship in a drug and alcohol treatment facility, my realization was whatever the reasons are, we all need some help from others to get through difficulties. It takes courage to acknowledge the need of help and it takes even more bravery to seek professional help.
